    Pros

I worked part time, so my work-life balance was good. The job paid extremely well and during the duration of my employment one could pick and choose their assignments. I do not believe that is the case anymore. I was assigned a mentor who was very helpful in making the adjustment to a different kind of teaching assignment.

    Cons

After three years the conditions of employment changed. We weren't told of this til we showed up for the back to school inservices. I felt gypped.

    Advice to Management

Minimize surprises. I liked and respected my colleagues and supervisors. But I felt blindsided by the changes. We were given the choice of staying on the payroll and accept the new conditions of employment or come off the payroll and reapply if their situation changes. I felt that situation had been grossly mishandled.
