Large company in the ground transportation industry, but small enough that every employee is important and counts to management. Strong support of Six Sigma tenets, and "Lean" behaviors (be productive, remove wasted time). Good opportunities for advancement for those employees seeking advancement. Open positions are posted internally as well as externally. Person best qualified for the position is chosen for open positions. Fair and equitable hiring process. Leadership training program for managers, -- helping managers to learn "soft skills" interacting with employees reporting to them. Employees are encouraged to learn -- Education Reimbursement program for Full-Time employees after completing a certain number of month of service. Professional, yet casual atmosphere. Everyone, including senior management, on a first-name basis. Open door philosophy.

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Carey International (Frederick, MD) in June 2015.
-Submitted resume and detailed internal application to HR and Manager -Was contacted for an in-person interview within a few weeks -Sat with the current Supervisor and VP of Treasury (in separate meetings) to complete the actual interview -Was brought in to the VP of Treasury to be told they chose another person for the job, but then provided me with feedback regarding my interview
