    Casey's mission is fantastic and I full support it. We are working to improve child welfare and foster care in the county. We work with public child welfare in all states. Everyone at Casey is committed to our mission, extremely bright, and works very hard.


    For a private operating foundation, there is remarkable bureaucracy and turf issues. There is a lot of upper management and not so many worker bees. There is also little to no upward mobility. Unless you are someone's favorite.

    Advice to Management

    Casey used to be more open with positions, movement internally, salary grades, etc. Has become much more closed and this is concerning.

    I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Casey Family Programs (Seattle, WA) in September 2014.


    Completed one phone interviews and two face-to-face meetings. People were pleasant and seemed knowledgable, albeit stodgy. The only negative aspect was the lack of follow up on the stated timeline; each round of interviews involved setting a timeline for checking in, missing it, apologizing, and then - finally - just not replying at all after two direct interviews and a promise to circle back.

    • The questions were predictable and straightforward; no crazy situations. You might be asked how you creatively solved a particular challenge or problem, and you'll certainly be asked to explicate your understanding of what CFP does.
