Good work environment, benefits and culture

Tight budgets means lack of resources and more work for specially over performing individuals. Career growth prospects limited

    Advice to Management

Need to pay more attention to employee career aspirations especially those who are overachievers

    Average Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Cast Iron Systems (Mountain View, CA) in February 2008.

It was a fairly standard technical interview process for a software position. I was interviewed by 4 people, in sequence, about 30 minutes each. I was interviewing for a primarily UI development position, so the two interviewers with UI expertise focused on Java Swing, whereas the two server-side developers focused on basic Java and computer science questions. I did not find the interviews to be particularly challenging. I was also shown a quick demo of the product.

    • Was asked how I would implement the layout for a GUI panel in Swing.   Answer Question
