I worked at Cato Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work life balance at times. Great education. Cato values each employee. Upper management is some of the best.

    Cons

Salary even for a fellowship was very low. Retirement contribution is not always given. Computers are old.

    Advice to Management

Up the salary and vacation so that there will be higher morale. Great company with a few tweaks.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Cato Research.

    Interview

Initial screening began with a phone interview to discuss the position. Then I was called in for a face to face interview with 3 separate people. The interview process was relatively easy, most of the same questions were asked by multiple people. They mostly wanted to know about my multitasking and organizational abilities as this was an entry level position.

    Negotiation

I was not able to negotiate.
