I have been working at Cellular Dynamics Intl full-timePros
CDI does a pretty good job recruiting and bringing in talented employees, so the overall research group is great to work with. The quality of the work is strongly determined by the group, but a majority of the groups are lead by competent and good people. There are probably 10-15 groups at a given time, and usually only 1 or 2 are "bad", with the rest being good or great.
The C-level leadership seems to do a good job based on quarterly profit statements, but for a smaller company, they are fairly quiet about company goals.
The benefits are great. Health and dental coverage included, vision discount. 401K matches half of employees contribution up to $1000 (CDI could do better here), and basic life insurance and short-term disability coverage.Cons
At times, there are contradictions between upper-level management and mid-level management. It is difficult to know what is going on with the C-level employees at times, and you are just left to expect they are doing what they are supposed to.RecommendsPositive Outlook
