    I worked at Cephalon full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    I worked for Cephalon for 10 years. I came in through a temp agency and was hired 1 year later. Each department was a very close group of employees and they were dedicated/long term employees. Long lasting friendships were made, and this is exactly the culture Frank Baldino wanted. He come to work everyday and eat in the same cafeteria along side his employees, he was one of us. Salary and benefits were Great! Opportunities to learn were there, you just had to take advantage of them.

    Cons

    Management was brought up the ladder and at times didn't deserve the positions they were given. There was no where to go if you had a complaint, the company was so small that it always go back to Management and you would be treated accordingly. Compliance?!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The company was taken over after the death of Frank Baldino, by Teva Pharma which was a large company and lay-offs came and were welcomed. We knew it would Never be the same Cephalon it once was.

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 daysinterviewed at Cephalon in March 2008.

    Interview Details

    It took a while to go through an interview process. I first spoke with my Director informally by telephone then in person. My Director then arranged interviews with various Directors within my Department, and with a Senior Director in HR. The interviews themselves were unscripted and relatively informal. I also had to do a drug test as per company HR policy prior to being hired.
