    I have been working at Ceres full-time


    Ceres is full of some of the smartest, most passionate people I have ever worked with. Almost every day there is a feat in the environmental world that somehow traces back to Ceres. Senior-level management is generally good, and their benefits are great. You can tell that this an organization that takes its mission seriously and cares about its people.


    Like with any non-profit, salaries could be higher and management could be stronger. Lower-level employees are working above and beyond what their being paid. Some turnover, but generally people seem pretty happy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay close attention to the work load of those you manage. Make sure what you're asking of them is realistic under the guidelines of their job descriptions and salaries.

    I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Ceres.

    Interview Details

    First telephone interview was with a recruiting agency that did not know the details of the position. She asked some generic interview questions - strengths, weaknesses, etc.
    In person interview was with 3 staff members asking different questions - more about knowledge of industry rather than about my personal experiences or skills. I first had to do a written analysis on a specified topic which became focus of interview rather than asking me about my application.

    • The interview focused on my written report that I had 30 minutes to prepare for rather than on what I could contribute to the role. They were more focused on my knowledge than my skills and existing expertise.   Answer Question
