I worked at ChildFund International as an intern (less than a year)

The mission - everyone seems to take it to heart. Lots of easy-going people who are passionate about their work. Very informal and genial work environment. Good work/life balance. Supervisors offered tons of encouragement and were dedicated to my professional growth (even if that meant providing contacts with other organizations).

Not a true con, but my position didn't convert to a full-time salaried opportunity.
