great management and colleagues, great at building camaraderie among employees. fair negotiation if you maintain and improve performance. easy access to management and experienced traders. great hours and attire.

brief training period--in order to succeed you must be proactive and self motivated as compensation is largely based on personal performance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

nothing in particular, great management. if possible a more intensive training program, keeping on top of peoples performance especially in first couple years, how to grow.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 6 weeksinterviewed at Chimera Securities.

    Interview Details

Applied via online application and got a response with HR. They hire new traders for January and July. They interview candidates for the position 2-3 months prior the starting date. There's a one week training program that is 4 hours everyday after market closes. After that it's four month unpaid and after the period they exam if you are a fit with the firm/making profit. You will be paid 2k a month after the trial period and earn only commission one year after that.

I had a total of 4 interviews HR, Trader, Trader, and Head Trader. Most of the questions were behavioral, fit, why chimera, why trading etc... Brain teasers and math questions were ask by the head trader. Nothing too difficult except for the math questions.
