    Pros

Great lecture series that exposes interns to various aspects of the art/auction house world Access to auctions/events Educational experience - hands on provenance/art/artist research that can directly impact a show Mentors are great - even with 2 different summer sections, take the time to walk you through everything. Great community.

    Cons

Arbitrary department placement when applying - may end up in department far from academic interests

    I applied online – interviewed at Christie's.

    Interview

The interview and hiring process is generally just frustrating from start to finish. Chances are you will just not hear back from HR following your interview, regardless of how many times you follow up. I had interviewed with 4 different HR people for 4 different positions and never received any response following those interviews. I finally heard back on my 5th attempt.
