    You can really make a way for your self if you are a self starter. As a Mayoral appointee you don't have civil service protection but you can move around and there are plenty of opportunities to shine.


    You never have enough resources or technology.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Investment in Technology are going to be huge as well as working out how to empower employees beyond the limitations of their equipment.

    I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at City of Detroit.

    Interview Details

    The hiring and interview process consisted of a short phone interview. I was notified of an appointment to take an exam. I arrived for the exam and the employees seemed unprepared for the test takers. Once I passed the exam, I was then notified by phone for an interview. Following the interview, I was called with the offer.
