I have been working at City of Winnipeg full-time for more than 10 years

The job enables me to help those in need, at the worst times in there lives, and render fire and teaching/training skills, as well as supervise staff and scene s of fire, accidents, murders, exciting job, with lots of time of for the long hours worked. Close "brotherhood" of co workers are more like family than co workers and some are my best friends. Free food, and many chances for advancement, learning new things all the time, travel to do so, teaching others, helping those in need. Investigations at fire and accident scenes.e tc... also not one day hour minute is ever the same ever changing and exciting. Months off with pay if need be.

Long hours unpredictable hours always on call. Dangerous. High risk situations for injury and illness.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work hard, listen to those who know, trust your fellow brothers and sisters, work harder, longer hours do what you are told, take every opportunity to learn that comes available to you, even if it's for a brief time in another city or country, take the chance do it. Just go for the gold. most important ask questions as much as possible, even if you are hight and training someone be humble respect everyone, they just may know something you don't, even on there 1st day on the job, learn, look, love, listen, never leave.
