Working at CityGrid is half way between working for a startup and a large company since it is owned by IAC. Employees get the best of both worlds as we are able to move quickly and make a material impact on the business and at the same time take advantage of what is traditionally large company benefits.
The local advertising industry as a whole has been suffering over the past few years. So far CityGrid has been able to weather the storm.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at CityGrid Media.
First interview was a phone interview to qualify experience with monthly quotas. Did three subsequent interviews on site, and I was required to submit an email pitch to "close" on why I should be hired. Many of the questions were redundant dragging out a process that should have concluded much sooner than it did.

Everyone gets the same 50K + Commission offer to my knowledge. Was briefed to not even try and negotiate based on the volume of candidates they attract.
