I worked at Collective full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Awesome team with supportive people who put a lot of love into their jobs. Great work-life balance, I was able to take time off when I needed without much hassle. A few of my team members went on maternity leave and came back with a options to work remotely if they needed to. There were a lot of opportunities to show leadership and grow within the company.

    Cons

Sales strategy was weak. Lots of challenges in the ad-tech industry as a whole that leadership didn't seem to know how to tackle. Lots of products and little differentiation in the marketplace.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve global communication. Leadership presence sorely missed in satellite offices.

    Ad Optimization Intern Interview

    Application Details

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Collective.

    Interview Details

I first submitted an application through my school's career/job finding website. First, there was a 15-minute phone screen with a recruiting coordinator. Then, after a few days I was called back for a 30-minute phone screen with the director of the group I was applying to. After about a week, I was invited to come in for a third interview, this time with 2 senior members of the group. I was offered the internship via email a few hours after my third interview.

    Interview Questions
    • One case study-style question during 2nd interview about budget allocations and different types of ad platforms, but I was not expected to have prior knowledge about it. They just wanted to hear the steps I took to arrive at a solution to determine if I could use critical thinking to solve a problem.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
No negotiation phase, as it was an internship.
