Leadership very weak; dating subordinates, frequently disrespectful and verbally abusive towards employees.

I worked at Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Many hard-working employees with good ethics who are friendly and lack the egocentricity of leadership employees. The patients are good to work with, and while stressful at times, many appear eager to improve their mental health status and return to the community to live better lives.

    Cons

Much stress is created by the incompetence of leadership in their ethics and employee relationships. . Poor pay that does not reflect current pay scales of local agencies or state averages. Large turn-over.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to review their ethical standards and work on making the hospital a safer and healthier place to work.
