Work at Conifer
Conifer Health Solutions is a health services company like no other. What makes us exceptional is that we focus on strengthening both the financial health of your organization and the personal health of your patients, your community, your employees and your members. And we are the only company with roots in the care delivery industry that can provide your hospital, health system, Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), physician group, self-insured organization or health plan with the complete continuum of technology-enabled performance improvement and health management solutions.
We believe our passion stems from working directly with hospital administrators and their patients. That experience has given us the vision to see how we can make a positive difference in both the financial and personal health of our clients and their patients and local communities.
When we launched Conifer Health Solutions in 2008, we were focused primarily on helping hospital and health system clients improve revenue cycle performance and their interactions with patients, from scheduling to post-discharge outreach.
As the industry began to change, we quickly realized that healthcare reform would transform our clients, their patients and consumers. We knew that our experience and passion could help guide many different clients who needed a partner on their journey to accountable care.
In 2012, Conifer Health took a natural step. We formed our Value-Based Care line of business. We combined the experience of Cap Management Systems, a California-based company focused on helping hospitals and independent physician groups develop and manage unique financial risk and clinical integration arrangements for more than 20 years, with InforMed Health Solutions. InforMed was a leading player in the population health management space, helping more than 150 self-insured organizations and government and community health plans better manage their patient and consumer populations through a robust population health technology platform and related medical management, care coordination and population wellness services.
Today, we are a 5-year-old company with 30 years of experience helping more than 700+ hospitals, health systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and self-insured organizations realize how to strengthen financial performance, enhance the patient experience and drive value-based performance.

Ours is a culture of service. Every day, we give back to our communities through corporate philanthropy and employee volunteerism.
Service is at the heart of Conifer Health’s values. We are proud of the dedication of our employees to make a positive impact in the places where they live and work. The Conifer Health Rooted in Community program gives employees a variety of ways to give their time and talent to the organizations that mean the most to them.
Along with service, our charitable giving helps build the strong, healthy communities we want for ourselves and our clients. Collectively, we commit to foster good health, combat hunger and connect humanity.
Healthy communities are great places to be. Corporate giving under our Health giving pillar focuses on programs that promote wellness through awareness, screenings and prevention initiatives, as well as safety education, training and emergency relief and preparedness. In addition to corporate gifts, Conifer Health employees strongly support Health through their own creative events and fundraising efforts for national and local charities.
Whether it’s building safe and secure shelter or promoting educational achievement through mentoring and tutoring, the Humanity pillar is about connection and collaboration. Through this pillar, we focus on diverse, yet fundamental issues that impact the sustainability of our communities. Conifer Health employees embrace Humanity by building shelter, tutoring children in underserved areas and giving their time to support community based organizations dedicated to solving tough challenges.
Our Hunger giving pillar acknowledges that access to regular, nutritious meals helps children, and families, thrive. Our employees volunteer countless hours to support nutrition literacy and healthy eating initiatives in their own back yards. Our corporate gifts assist programs such as food pantries and food collection initiatives as well as pre-school, after-school and summer feeding programs.

I have been working at Conifer Health Solutions full-time (less than a year)Pros
There is a real team environment - everyone is willing to help each other out whenever necessary. Laughter is something heard daily so it's hard not to enjoy the work. Direct management is very knowledgeable and hardworking, which has a trickle down effect. With a smaller marketing team, there is always work to be done, in various areas, so opportunities for growth and learning are plentiful.
Conifer encourages healthy habits: there are usually healthy options in the cafeteria, plus a salad bar every day. Covered parking is nice.
Oh, and Starbucks.Cons
Benefits aren't particularly great for a healthcare company, unless you use Tenet providers. The free coffee isn't the best I've ever had... but that's why there's a Starbucks.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Be more open, especially with creative projects, and allow everyone to give their input; these can be great learning opportunities.RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO

I was initially contacted through a recruiter and then later set up an interview at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. I arrived at the interview early and later the interviewer asked me questions about myself and she mainly describe the job duties. I am a recent college graduate and have some experience working in the customer service industry so I felt really confident about the interview especially my skills. The interviewer then told me that I will be contacted shortly by the end of the week however I never got a response. I also emailed the recruiter and ask but she did not have an answer either. I guess I did not get the job but at least I was hoping for some feedback.Interview Questions
