    Pros

    During my time at Convergys, I had challenging work to do. I had great support from my management and built high performing teams. There is a strong focus on clients and performance in support of their businesses. I found good performance to be well rewarded. I had opportunities to grow my career over time. Company benefits were reasonable and supported work/life balance. Would rejoin the team if the right opportunity arose.

    Cons

    BPO environments aren't for everyone. Most programs are 24x7, 365 days a year, which means sometimes it's hard to find the work/life balance. BPO's usually have lower compensations rates than industry counterparts, so know that going into a position.

    They hire pretty much anyone that can speak English or Spanish that can walk on 2 legs. Mass turn-over - you produce or they will start notating it. You need to be adaptable to high levels of stress and change to maintain your position.
