I have been working at Cope Plastics, Inc. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people that work at cope are like family. They are friendly and there is a good group of very hard working individuals who are always good to see on a daily basis. Cope plastics is always busy and are highly unlikely to have lay offs. Also vacation and personal days are very nice along with health care and dental plans, 401k and gym discounts.

    Cons

The shop in the past year has been speeding up jobs and shorting workers quote times so much so that it feels like we can't ever win. No extra pay for more and more work with additional jobs such as sorting plastics, clocking in and out of everything you do. Extreme micro managing with time clocks. There is no recognition when you run better than quote daily. They don't even know. Very Short but payed 20 minute lunch you can't comfortably eat that fast.

    Advice to Management

Please talk to the people on the floor more and get some advice how to change for the better and stop reverting to the same old way of doing things. Make life better for your workers and the workers will pay you back for the positive changes that you make.

    Interview

Very unorganized and unprofessional. Based upon their questions, I do not know if they were really sure what they were looking for. Took 3 weeks for the complete interview process
