    Engineer I Interview

    Anonymous Employee  in  Houston, TX
    Anonymous Employee in Houston, TX
    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Corrpro in June 2014.

    Interview Details

The first interview is a telephone interview with HR. The HR lady was very kind to me over the phone, and in person. The following week I had an interview set up with the hiring manager. The hiring manager didn't seem engaged in the interview, and seemed more distracted. It was like I was wasting his time, and I felt a bit rushed. I was asked to tell him about my background starting with my university. I spoke briefly about my previous positions that I had, particular one that was related to the current position. I was also asked about my technical skills. The hiring manager stated he was looking for someone who is willing to learn. Personally no one knows it all, and every job you are going to learn something and contribute. When the employees have that type of mindset, then the company is more productive. I wrote a thank you email in regards to interview. I even waited weeks to do a followup email. I never heard from Corrpro in regards to the status of my application. To me that speaks volumes if a company can not even tell you the status of your application.
