I have been working at Critical Mention

Great people to work alongside, from Sales, Development and Account Mgmt team. Clients were easy enough to keep satisfied- plenty of support from Management on how to assist clients if you need it. Big-name clients, fun going to client offices for trainings. A very cool web-based platform that literally lets you watch TV as a job. Beer on Fridays! Occasional outings and the typical holiday party.

No cubicles, just an open-floor plan where people know that you're not at your desk. Hours were long and if you left for more than 1 hour people started to ask where you were. Breaks weren't encouraged, even though we worked 10 hour days. Somewhat hard to get time off, lots of people worked Christmas Eve, etc. In Account Management, you were expected to meet "sales goals" which were outrageous, because clients rarely would buy from us, they bought what they needed from their sales representative.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage people to take breaks. Be more realistic about the very long workdays, when people are salaried and aren't making overtime.

I heard about the listing through a friend and emailed my application to the friend of the friend. I heard back within a day and had a phone interview with HR. Then I met with the team in person, but no manager. The final interview was with several mangers. The interviews were all pretty laid back and conversational.
