I worked at DSC Logistics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Multi task between picking orders & receiving product w/RF scanner. Training new employees (Mentor)., Inventory ( cycle counts) with hand held RF scanner and occasionally using a scissors lift

    Cons

Keeping up with a quota when performing other requirements or not receiving proper orders to keep up with quota

    Advice to Management

Accept suggestions from employees when we voice an opinion that is in a safe manner and less costly.

    Interview

Applied online, got a phone call from HR. After few days I got invited in, I met with 5 people..most of them were great, except the HR manager who was acting like a gatekeeper asking very primitive and senseless questions, like you like contracting or full time, why this why that.. The company doesn't hire based on skills but it's based on how close they think you are a friend or a date. Beware. ..don't waist your time with amateurs

The third-party logistics company manages services such as warehousing, transportation, and packaging for its customers; it also offers logistics consulting services. DSC maintains a network of logistics centers spread throughout the US. Customers have included Georgia-Pacific, Heinz, Kimberly-Clark, and Wal-Mart. DSC founder Jim McIlrath, the father of CEO Ann Drake, started the company as Dry Storage Corporation in 1960 after a former boss refused to offer dry storage along with refrigerated storage services.
