    Positive Outlook

I left another large company in the KC area to join DFA and it was the best decision I ever made! I work with great and inspiring managers, who allow me to provide feedback that impacts business. I believe if you have a strong work ethic and get that at the end of the day, we work for the farmer, then this is a place you will grow. If you just want to punch in at 8 and leave at 5 and not make any meaningful decisions, then this isn't the place for you. I hardly ever work over 40 hours, which was not the case at my former employer (where I worked 60+ hours a week with no appreciation). I now have a great work/life balance, which I have never had before.

The paid time off policy is fairly out-dated, but I know HR has been working on this. I also think the dress code could use some updating, but this isn't a deal breaker.

    Advice to Management

Provide clear succession plans for your strong employees - they want to be here and continue to grow. I see some of this now, but it could happen more often.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dairy Farmers of America (Syracuse, NY).

Fun people to talk to, informative about the Cooperative. Not all management was clear on the duties of the position. Interview process is long and exhausting. Shows that they possibly cannot make decisions in a quick manner.
