Compensation and Benefits
Dex Media offers a comprehensive benefit package to employees and their families as part of its total rewards philosophy.
A summary of the health, welfare, and financial savings programs available to newly hired employees is shown below. The specific benefits an employee is eligible for varies by location and employee group. Additional information about these programs, including the employee’s share of the cost and applicable benefit waiting periods, is provided once an applicant is hired.*
Dex Media’s medical plan options provide comprehensive coverage for preventive care, doctor visits, hospital care, and prescription drugs. Employees and Dex Media share the cost of medical coverage.
Dex Media’s dental plan options cover preventive, basic and major dental procedures. Some dental plan options also cover orthodontic services. Employees and Dex Media share the cost of this coverage.
Dex Media’s vision plan covers eye exams and glasses or contacts, and offers discounts on other vision-related services such as LASIK. Employees pay the full cost of this coverage.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Dex Media makes available Health Care and Dependent Day Care flexible spending accounts that help employees save tax dollars on eligible expenses.
401(k) Savings Plan
Dex Media offers a 401(k) savings plan with a wide range of investment options. The company matches a portion of an employee’s contributions to this plan. Employee contributions may be made on a pre-tax, after-tax and/or Roth 401(k) basis.
Short Term Disability
Dex Media’s short term disability program provides temporary, partial income replacement when a qualifying illness or injury occurs. Employees are automatically enrolled in this program when eligible. Dex Media pays the full cost of this coverage.
Long Term Disability (LTD)
Long term disability coverage is also available. The LTD program provides additional income protection when an employee is unable to work for an extended length of time due to a medically-approved disabling condition. Employees pay the full cost of this coverage.
Dex Media provides life insurance coverage equal to an employee’s annual income. Employees may also purchase supplemental life coverage for themselves and/or their eligible dependents. Some supplemental coverage requires evidence of insurability.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Dex Media provides AD&D insurance coverage equal to an employee’s annual income. Employees may also buy supplemental AD&D coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents.
Business-Travel Accident Insurance
Employees are automatically provided business-travel accident coverage. This coverage provides additional protection when traveling on Dex Media business.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Employees may receive confidential and personal counseling assistance to help deal with challenges that can affect health, relationships or job effectiveness through Dex Media’s EAP. The EAP is also there to assist employees with legal and financial challenges, work/life services, adoption assistance, and tobacco cessation. Dex Media pays the cost of EAP coverage.
Dex Media’s time off programs include holidays, vacation, and personal days. In addition, Dex Media offices are closed for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Alternative Work Arrangements
Dex Media makes available alternative work arrangements—such as telecommuting and compressed work weeks—to help employees balance work with other activities, personal needs, family, and interests outside of work.

I applied online. The process took a week – interviewed at Dex One in December 2013.Interview Details
The interview process started with a phone interview. Lasted about an hour. After that a Skype interview was conducted. The worst part about this is that the interviewer did not show himself, that was very strange and uncomfortale and the skype part was not necessary. The questions were scripted and the interview lasted about an hour. The 3rd interview was a ride along with the sales manager. This part was very valuable since it really gave a good indication of what the job was going to be like.Interview Questions
