Big company means job security. Paid training, company car, computer and smartphone. Full benefits package available.

Low starting pay, under staffing, long hours that are created by an 'on-call' system that is never mentioned in interviews. Be advised- YOU WILL BE ON CALL. No pay increases or promotions. No advancement from within- they hire outside people, they don't move anyone up. Upper management that seems to pay more attention to stock holders than employees. Very dangerous job done with lots of lip service to safety but very little actual safety, or concern for safety at the local level. Local manager is nowhere to be found. No job feedback, no coaching, mentoring, or otherwise. Any growth or training will be on your own through company websites. Anything else you'll have to beg, plea or threaten to get. If you do see management it is for a negative event, not a positive one.

    Advice to Management

You're company is made of EMPLOYEES and you are ignoring them. PAY the employees who work hard what they truly deserve, get rid of the slackers. To go years without even a cost-of-living increase is inexcusable, especially considering the cost of health care continues to increase every year. Pay more attention to your employees and the stock will take care of itself. There is a reason the turnover rate is so unbelievably high. And finally SAFETY!!! None of us wants to get killed doing our job. You make it very easy for this to happen, and you leave it to the employees to figure it out.
