I have been working at Disney-ABC Domestic Television full-time (More than 3 years)

Working for Janice Marinelli is a fantastic opportunity. She can be tough, although you have to be when you oversee as much as she does, but is very fair and takes excellent care of her people. She is definitely the type of senior executive that you feel comfortable leading the division. The division combines production and distribution, so opportunities to learn multiple models are present. The content distributed is some of the best content in the world making it much easier to get deals completed with favorable terms for the company. Division is very family friendly, and the work-life balance is exceptional. People work long hours when needed, but don't feel compelled to stay late if they don't have work that needs tending to. Everyone seems to get along very well. Disney reputation is great and while the pay isn't top of the line in the industry the perks make up for it.

As such a desirable place to work there isn't a lot of change over at the executive levels making promotions more difficult to come by. Just like any major corporation there are political issues that employees should be aware of in order to avoid stepping on land minds. Depending on your role the work can get a little repetitive, but the opportunity to take on new and different work is there if you push hard enough. A few groups seem to be overworked due to how quickly the business is expanding.

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide additional staffing to the support groups and taking care of key employees.

Getting an internship with The Chew was a fun but difficult task. I was invited into NYC to interview. When I got there I was greeted by the HR assistant. She was very nice, and then a manager there brought me to her office. I was asked a series of questions about my resume (where I have worked and where I go to school).
