    Pros

A conservatively managed but financially sound company. Salaries are among industry avg for regulated utilities. Good benefits. offers a cash balance pension

    Cons

Limited advancement opportunities outside of Virginia. As a regulated utility, many long time employees are set in their ways. Switch to cash balance pension from traditional pension

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dominion Resources (Richmond, VA).

    Interview

Organizing the interview was efficient and easy, but the interview itself was strange. Dominion does primarily panel behavioral interviews (think: "what are your biggest weaknesses"). The three people asking questions seemed bored and completely uninterested in the process. One of the managers was filling in the spaces in letters with his red pen (ie bored). Also, the job description was not consistent with what the manager described during the interview.
