I worked at Drexel University full-time (More than 10 years)

The commitment to leveraging technology to meet educational goals is impressive and should be taken for granted. Also, I felt like I was working with many of the best and the brightest people in the field. Finally, the urban setting and accessibility by public transportation is fantastic.

It was very difficult to maintain any kind of work-life balance. The mindless, automatic annual increases in tuition (for full-time and part time students) are not sustainable. Career opportunities were hit and miss depending on what department you were in and what supervisor you had. There should be more consistency about career development.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees as well as you treat students. I saw tremendous improvement in this area while I was there but more consistency across departments would help.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA) in July 2015.

Was contacted via email to set up a phone interview. Following the phone interview, I had two additional in-person interviews. The in-person interviews took place within the same week and I was offered the job the following week. All communications were done via email, except for the job offer, and I was given a very explicit timeline during the entire process. Overall great experience.
