Bad branch. Pittsburgh. The only things good were the co workers and customers in the stops.

    I worked at Dunbar Armored

    Pros

You're outdoors and always moving. The co workers, aside of a few, were great, Very helpful and happy to teach you. 98% of the stops were good and chatty people. I wish I could name names because a hand full of older workers are great to work with and understand the better they train you the better you work.

    Cons

Horrible pay for risking your life everyday. After a year you are lucky to get .20 cents with showing up everyday and being completely on point. Favortism got you the best trucks and the easiest routes. The trucks were great with breaking down, being full of rust and having no a/c or heat. Some had doors held shut with rubber bands or string. If you're taken hostage they say the driver must drive away. Now you're risking the courier. They're now a witness and the one person between the assailant and getting away. You risk him being killed. The money is insured, not their life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take better care of the people who risk their lives everyday for your company with not only some of the areas they go into but the trucks that breakdown and leave them as sitting targets and vests you won't provide and they can't afford on the pay given. It's easy to say leave your partner when youre not there. Some of the partners become friends. Amend your policy. Leave the truck, call authorities and wait with your partner. That bright red truck will be quickly found as they are lucky to go 0-60 in 5min.
