    Pros

My work was interesting and engaging, and I was able to work on a wide variety of projects. I had some of the best coworkers of my career--people who did good, competent work but also were thoughtful and had a good sense of humor.

    Cons

There wasn't much room for error, and I had so many projects that it was stressful staying on top of everything. Pay was fine, but on the low side considering how much I worked.

    Advice to Management

I was overall happy working at the company, but it seemed like there was a constant "do more with less" expectation. The collaboration between departments is okay, but it could be better.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took a weekinterviewed at Duquesne Light (Pittsburgh, PA) in March 2015.

    Interview

The people at Duquesne Light are very open-minded individuals and seem to work very hard. I can see how they value what they do and why they pay what they do.They like to look past the metrics and see what a person really is qualitatively. 10/10 would go to another interview

Duquesne Light is the first and last resort for light for many in the Keystone State. The company, founded in 1880, provides electricity to more than 500,000 customers in southwestern Pennsylvania over its 17,000-mile transmission and distribution system. The utility, a subsidiary of Duquesne Light Holdings (formerly DQE) acts as a generation Provider of Last Resort (POLR) for customers who do not choose an alternative supplier. A consortium led by Macquarie Infrastructure Partners and Diversified Utilities and Energy Trust (DUET) controls the company's parent.
