I worked at E! Entertainment Television full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The best thing about working at E! is that it's a thriving, exciting, creative work environment. The company has grown exponentially in the past 5 years and it was a privilege to work there.

    Cons

The salaries are not as high as similar jobs at other companies. Despite that, working at E! is a lot less stressful than some of those other shows.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good communication can't be stressed enough. That seems to be the key to a healthy and happy department. Management has definitely improved in the past few years.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week - interviewed at E! Entertainment Television in July 2010.

    Interview Details

I was interviewed by two senior level directors in the department. The interview took place in one of the director's offices. It was actually very relaxed and conversational. They asked me about my past work experience in the field and what I could bring to E! in terms of relationships with publicity contacts.

    Interview Questions
    • One of the directors asked how I would go about booking an interview with an A list celebrity, like Brad Pitt for example.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Yes, I was able to negotiate for a slightly higher salary based on my past experience.
