The pay is good and the local company (subsidiary or EPCOR in Canada) is small enough to have very little bureaucracy. They look to treat employees right, good benefits with a superb focus on safety!
The Company has entrenched management with very little room for upward movement for middle and upper management.
Advice to Management
When there is not enough room to promote look to allow for more lateral movement of employees so that they may keep learning and enjoying their job.
Getting an Interview
Getting an Interview
- Accepted OfferNeutral ExperienceEasy InterviewAccepted OfferNeutral ExperienceEasy Interview
I applied online – interviewed at EPCOR.
They conducted an pre-interview via the phone prior to the formal panel interview. I understood that they did this as they wanted to let people know what they pay was (low) and individuals had the opportunity to decline the formal interview.
The interview was the run of the mill, typical behavioural based questions.
The interview panel did not seem like they understood the job well therefore they could not answer my questions about the job.
