I worked at East Tennessee State (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great students, supportive staff and faculty, good benefits for employees, good administration and student services.

    Cons

Too many special interests instead of focusing on students' success. OIT is slow to respond or defaults to 'no', and physical plant has problematic areas. Salary low compared to peer institutions.
