    Pros

Strong team, solid engineering culture and fun group of folks to work with. The stack that is being used is very modern (Apache Strom/Kafka/Redis/HIVE) and the team environment is very collaborative. There is no lack of challenging technical problems to solve so if personal growth is important, EcoFactor is a good fit. Most people enjoy the work hard play hard environment at Ecofactor.

The energy problem they reworking on open ended and very challenging. I enjoy the fact that we are making a positive difference to the world by saving wasted energy one home at a time.

    Cons

Commute to redwood city can be a pain if you are driving from the east bay. Caltrain access is convenient though if you can take the train the work and the work-hours are flexible so you can avoid rush hour.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and keep the focus on continuing to grow the business. Stay the course in maximizing the positive impact of the core energy efficiency product.

    Interview

Very intelligent people work in this company! I was really excited to talk to all of them. Interview process consists of 2 parts. First interview with manager and than technical interview with the rest of the team.
