Independence is our cornerstone. In our 2011 global employee survey, employees cited the products of our independence (innovation, excellence, cutting-edge, entrepreneurial spirit) as the key parts of Edelman’s DNA.

Our employees are proud to be here and they like each other. Nine out of 10 employees globally said they are proud to work at Edelman and think the company is well positioned for growth. Employees were asked “When you wake up in the morning, what makes you WANT to come to work at Edelman?” and fifty-one percent answered: coworkers.

Our Living In Color (LIC) initiative is a foundational part of our culture based on the belief that our involvement in the world around us enriches our lives and careers.

We focus on building diversity globally through our Global Diversity Advisory Council to reach our firm’s  goal of creating an inclusive work environment that fosters diversity at every level of the organization, reflecting both the diversity of the clients we serve and the communities in which we operate.  Additionally, our Global Women’s Executive Network (GWEN), will focus on networking, recruiting, collaborating and career planning for women across the network, with the objective of increasing the presence of women at the most senior levels of the company and creating an environment whereby women are encouraged to lead and succeed.
