Current Employee - Mechanical Engineer in Mukilteo, WA

I have been working at Electroimpact full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Huge amounts of freedom and responsibility. The company is engineering-centric. Employees follow projects from design to delivery and often travel for installation. Profit sharing is a big benefit and gets bigger the longer your tenure.

    Cons

Confusing management structure. Mentoring is almost unheard of and is also unavailable as your job role changes over your career. The political culture at the company may overwhelm some.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave enough room in employees schedules to actually offer mentor-ship and review to people lower on the food chain at all levels.

    Mechanical Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Mukilteo, WA
    Application Details

I applied online. The process took a day - interviewed at Electroimpact in June 2014.

    Interview Details

Its a very casual process. They pass you around to 3 or 4 senior-level engineers, and talk to the CEO Peter as well. They show you around, the quiz you a little, and ask you about your experience and go over your resume.

    Interview Questions
    • They will have test questions, but they are not that difficult. They really want to know what kind of projects and things you work on in your spare time. Also, are you willing to travel? How long do you plan on working there? Tell them about a problem you solved?   Answer Question
