I worked at Emergency Medical Associates full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

New employee training was great, 2 weeks in a classroom and a week on site. Everyone was really helpful. Benefits are decent, pay is good. Providers are all incredible. Flexible scheduling, paid vacation and sick time were all great to have. The referral bonus was nice.

    Cons

Not much room for personal growth. There was a limit to how far someone can go without certain degrees, regardless of work experience or length of time with the company. Not much information shared with employees about upcoming sites.

    Clinical Information Manager Interview

    Application Details

The process took 7 weeksinterviewed at Emergency Medical Associates.

    Interview Details

Initially submitted my application including cover letter and resume through their website. Received a phone call within a week from a recruiter to further discuss the position and my qualifications. Within the next week received a phone call inviting me for an interview, which was held 2 days later. Had my first interview with a different recruiter than the one who first called me. The interview lasted about an hour, of which the majority consisted of questions about my perception of the job and its responsibilities, my qualifications for the position, etc. I was asked to rate my interest in the position on a scale of 1-10, which took me by surprise. After the questions I took 2 dictations tests, a typing test (both on the computer), and a medical terminology test. I believe I did well on all of them. I was told that there were three rounds of interviews, the first one I was having with the recruiter, the second one with the Regional Manager, and the third one with the hospital I would potentially be working at. I then received a phone call within the week inviting me for the second interview with the Regional Manager, which was to take place two days later at a Starbucks. However, the next day I received a call back saying that the interviewer got sick and the interview was postponed a week. I had the second interview on the rescheduled day at the Starbucks. I'm not sure how it went, it was awkward interviewing in a Starbucks. Two weeks later I received a call from the first person I interviewed with who told me that the positions at the hospitals I was being considered for have filled, and that I wouldn't have been able to commit the one year minimum that they require (since I would potentially be attending grad school next year). However, he assured me that I was a good candidate for the position and they would have liked to have me.
