I have been working at Encompass Home Health full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The offices have a great culture and the management really does care about all of the employees. After working with Encompass for a year and a half, I am blessed to say that I have been in a number of offices and they all care about their patients and the employees. The benefits packages are outstanding with 30 days of PDO being one of the top perks. The company has a strong promote from within policy that helps people in growing their careers, as well as growing the company from within.

    Cons

I don't necessarily consider this a con but the company has high expectations for it's workers and their productivity. I don't believe this is necessarily a bad thing but there is always the possibility of the employees taking on too much and not feeling as effective.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Encompass Home Health.

    Interview Details

Initial interview by phone, and follow up in person. Main office was located in Kansas and I am located in Tucson so I had to wait about a week for them to fly in for interviews. Interviews took place in their brand new office (they are just setting up in Tucson). I had to wait a while as someone was ahead of me. Interviewee did not identify her position until asked, who was actually the administrator. Another interviewer was also present, the DPS (Director of Patient Services). Questions asked over the phone was asked again in person, but were primarily personality questions. These questions included the typical: Where do you see yourself in five years? How do you think you will be an asset to this company? Some of the questions were actually huge HR red flag no-no personal questions which could have been reported to the Department of Labor.
