EngenderHealth really valued the contribution I made as an intern and capitalized on my skill set. I was able to take the lead on some projects, which was a great experience. Even as an intern my supervisor worked with me to set goals and build my capacity. I interned while in graduate school (one semester part-time and one semester full-time), and my supervisor was very supportive and flexible to help me meet all my school obligations and take advantage of opportunities. My team was very helpful in the job hunt post-graduation.

Not a con per se, but there is no offical intern program. Interns integrate into their team/department rather than functioning as a separate unit. This can be a benefit, especially for interns in graduate school who are older with more experience.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Engenderhealth (New York, NY) in January 2013.

I was contacted within several weeks of my CV submission. Interview was pretty easy. Asked for a writing sample and to have a conversation in French. HR person (Anne) was very respectful. Interviewers asked good questions and gave me the opportunity to ask questions
