I worked at Environmental Systems Products

    Pros

Working with the local program people was fantastic. Everyone got along well and worked together. Camaraderie in the office was great! Great benefits for entry-level workers, although I was not one of them.

    Cons

Wages are not competitive, although benefits are very reasonably priced for entry-level staff. It's all about money. The biggest issue is the senior executive team and corporate HR and their TOTAL disconnect from the field. I have never seen such an incompetent and crass group of people in charge of a company. No wonder they are failing and selling off pieces in a firesale. Glad to be out of there!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Do no do anything else until you get a new VP of Human Resources who has some level of competence with employee relations...and maybe a soul.

    Human Resources Manager II Interview

    Anonymous Employee  in  Arvada, CO
    Anonymous Employee in Arvada, CO
    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 1 week - interviewed at Environmental Systems Products in November 2013.

    Interview Details

Interview process was fairly fast. Received call, came in for an interview within a week's time. Interview was typical, questions were fairly routine - experience with leave, what was a difficult situation you had to deal with and how did you deal with it, your strengths and weaknesses, etc. Only major complaint would be that I was never informed that I did not get the job even after meeting the General Manager for a second interview the same day as the first interview with the VP of HR.

This company has a sixth sense for harmful emissions. Environmental Systems Products (ESP) manufactures equipment for measuring carbon monoxide and other emissions from automobile tailpipes. The company's AccuScan technology uses ultraviolet and infrared beams to measure emissions from automobiles as they pass in a roadway. It also makes garage equipment, such as tire changers, wheel balancers, and lifts. ESP is a leading contract vehicle emissions tester in North America, and more than 20,000 of its testing systems are used in about 20 states and a dozen foreign... More
