I have been working at Essilor of America full-time (more than 5 years)

Good pay, opportunity for promotion in some areas, friendly people, global opportunities available

Male-dominated management, work-life balance is a personal responsibility, industry is slow to adopt change, few holidays and vacation structure is dismal

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider developing leadership from within instead of bringing in top management from outside. Slow the process of rotation for marketing employees to allow them to grow in place before moving. Reconsider the vacation policy to encourage people to actually take the time off.

    Interview Details

Telephone contact, face to face interview, telephone contact, offer letter via email and phone confirmation. Actually had two sales managers that knew how to speak and interview sales reps. their presentation was very professional, and questions were open ended was asked how I worked with current customers, did not ask me for customer lists or expected me to go after current customers. The interview went very well with the two that interviewed me, unfortunately because they were messed over nine months later, they were not in my chain for long.
