    Pros

    Good place for ambitious people with, a lot of interesting missions to complete, business can be quite harsh sometimes but the company as a whole takes care of his/her employees. Company benefits are greats and trainnings in your field of duty or in finance are easily obtained through HR which is a nice thing for juniors.

    Internal politics not always easy to manage

    I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Exane (Paris (France)) in December 2012.

    Le bureau m'a interrogé directement, sans la partie HR. L'analyste a fait un tête-à-tête en premier. Nous avons commencé par la recherche que j'ai faite sur l'industrie, puis nous avons discuté services publics. Comme je ne connais rien de ce secteur, il m'a d'abord donné un peu le contexte d'un problème, puis après j'ai dû utiliser cette information et mon bon sens pour trouver la réponse, mais il peut contester la réponse et poser des questions complémentaires. Donc c'est très difficile de se préparer. Après une heure et demi, il a demandé au Chef d'Équipe de venir, et nous avons eu une discussion plutôt informelle sur la politique. Et c'est tout.

    The desk interviewed me directly, without the HR part. The analyst did an one-on-one first. We began with the industry research I did, and then went to discuss utilities. Since I know nothing about the sector, he will first provide some background of a problem, then I need to use this information and my common sense to get the answer, but he may challenge the answer or ask follow up questions. So it's really difficult to prepare. After 1.5hr, he asked the Team Head to come, and we had a quite casual talk on politics. And that's it.
