I worked at Extreme Networks full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Engineering team in Raleigh rocks. Long tenure of key engineers means they know the technology and are great mentors for new team members

    Cons

The enterprise networking market is not a high growth market, so it can be frustrating working on technology that isn't adopted quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be afraid to innovate and go for big, new markets. Be aggressive with technology and invest for the longer term

    Application Details

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Extreme Networks in October 2014.

    Interview Details

Met the hiring manager at a career fair on campus and gave him my resume. A couple of days later, he emailed me requesting a phone interview. It was mostly technical but also behavioral. He immediately set up a second on site interview which turned out to be more of a tour because no questions were ever asked. The next day, I recieved an offer. It seems like a really great company to work for and I am looking forward to the experience.

I did not negotiate the pay. It was very competitive and it is my first networking job so I was very happy with the offer.
