I have been working at Fairfield University as a contractor (more than 5 years)

Great colleagues, good office space and working atmosphere. A rare gem for adjunct work.

As in all adjunct work: relatively low pay (though Ffld U does better than most in the state), no guarantee of work from semester to semester.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider carving out true part-time positions for faculty who have proven track records of excellence in the classroom and commitment to students.

The process was much quicker than other institutions/organizations. Dealt directly with the department seeking to fill the position. It was refreshing to have an application for employment move along at a respective pace.
