FedBid's post-grad internship program is a great opportunity for a college grad who doesn't quite know what they want to do yet or have much professional experience. The company thrives on training its employees quickly, and understands the challenges you face acclimating to the professional world after college. Throughout the way, it offers various programs to ease your transition. Also, FedBid really does make an effort to find you a position that fits. During the training process, they encourage you to let them know what you want to do, and once you are placed in your role, they give you leadership opportunities. Most interns will work on at least one major project by the time the internship is over. Also, you get catered lunches during busy season.

Sometimes, it seems that there are more unspoken rules at FedBid than there are in baseball. You won't know whether or not you'll receive a full-time offer until the last day of the internship, This can make job applications difficult, as you will need to balance searching with expressing interest, if you would like to stay.

    Advice to Management

I enjoyed how friendly upper management was. I think continuing the moves you're taking to increase transparency can really improve the product and the company moving forwards.

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at FedBid (McLean, VA) in May 2015.

The interview consisted of a three part process. The first part was a phone interview. The second part was an interview with, the HR recruiter, the accounting manager, and then fellow staff accountants. This was not a panel interview, and you would interview with these parties separately. The third interview consisted of meeting with the CFO.
