I have been working at Fedex Express full-time (More than 10 years)RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
Very good company, pension & 401k matching up to 6%, single coverage health insurance for 5$/month, tuition reimbursement for qualified classes/degree. Able to work alone for most of the day, and meet nice people.
Must maintain safety, good driving, and service in a time sensitive environment. Productivity is measured and sometimes you feel overwhelmed, especially if the aircraft is late, and you are running behind in poor weather conditions.
Advice to Management
Shorten the time period to achieve Top of Range pay. Most couriers receive a 1-5% raise yearly but it may take almost 20 years to reach the top of the pay range.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks – interviewed at Fedex Express (San Francisco, CA).
Interview is based upon a series of "situational" questions (e.g. Give an example <something> happened and you did <something> to overcome it) etc. The interviewer summarizes your responses on a notepad. The interview is fairly brief and to-the-point. There were no curveball or unexpected questions. The whole interview from start to finish probably took less than 30 minutes, depending on how quickly you answer the questions.
