I worked at Fireside Bank full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for. Long tenure for many employees. Ability to grow and advance professionally

    Cons

New president who replaced Fred, did not see the shift in the economy and ultimately lost so much money that the insurance conglomerate that owned the bank decided to wind it down

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I wish they could have instituted cost savings measures rather than expanding the spending just as the economy in general, and car sales in particular were contracting.

    Interview Details

The interview process was very competitive but fair. There were multiple interviews with senior management so that they were able to make the best decision. There were a lot of demonstrative questions that allowed for me to elaborate on how I would bring my past experiences to the current position that I was applying for. I felt that although there were multiple candidates the process was very fair.
