Its a growing company, less than a year old and has every indication that it will continue to grow. General Imaging has made great strides to get its new digital cameras, which are marketed under the General Electric brand into the marketplace. The product has good features and an excellent price point which makes it competitive with the more established brands.
Language barrier with senior management (Japanese) The Company has about 40 employees, but almost all of the senior management is either Japanese or Chinese. Pay for all employees, from accounting to customer service is less than industry standard for matching positions in other companies. In a time when the economy is declining and the cost of living is rising, the company has paid little notice to the needs of its staff.
Advice to Management
Diversify senior management and stop scrimping on every expense. Additionally the company should focus more on the quality of their products. There is an attitude of 80% is good enough, and not allot of focus on resolving long standing issues of customer satisfaction.
