I have been working at General Re

    Pros

Value work life balance above anything else. One of the most talented and academically qualified set of employees under one roof. ZERO politics.

    Cons

Flat structure forces you to review the growth strategies in the company. You have to always be on the look out for the projects to take so as to gain points for promotion.

Very good process that his highly structured and involved many folks at various levels. Often the days dragged on with overlap of interview questions but overall a pleasant experience. Very good structure to the HR function and process for hiring and providing insight into benefits. Process provided a good understanding of culture and people.
