I worked at Geneva Rock full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You work on a small team (the survey crew) assisting on a variety of different road jobs, great pay for on-job only training, and you get plenty of hours to work in the spring and summer. PTO accrues quickly.

    Cons

Summer weeks are always busy and long, usually you work between 50 - 60+ hours per week. In the fall and winter non essential staff get laid off, so as an hourly employee that might not be good for you.

    Advice to Management

They are doing a good job. This is the construction world. Make sure you are ready and able to handle the heat and the time.
